Kristin Landen Davis Bio
Kristin Landen Davis is an American Golden Globe- and Emmy Award-nominated actress. She is best known for playing the role of Charlotte York Goldenblatt on HBO's Sex and the City. Boulder, Colorado was where Davis was born and was educated. A single child, her parents divorced when she was a baby. Her stepfather adopted her, University of South Carolina psychologist Keith Davis, after he got married to her mother, Dorothy who was a university data analyst in the year 1968. She had three step-sisters from her father's previous marriage. Early in her childhood, she and her parents relocated to Columbia, South Carolina, where her adoptive father served as provost and teaches psychology at the University of South Carolina. Davis was interested in becoming an actress from the age of 10, when she was selected to perform in a local theatre production of Snow White and the Seven... She, along with her former boyfriend, Alec Baldwin, guest-starred on Will & Grace (1998) as well as Friends (1994), though they did not appear in the same episodes. Was a guest at Sarah Jessica Parker's 40th birthday party. She auditioned for Sarah Tobias' role in The Accused (1988). Jonathan Kaplan turned her down and Jodie Foster was offered the part. She has two adopted children: daughter Gemma Rose Davis (adopted in 2011), and son Wilson Davis (adopted in 2018). Ambassador for the poverty organization Oxfam. Visited the Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya in July 2011 as part of her duties as an Oxfam Ambassador. Even though her character Charlotte on "Sex and the City" (1998) was the first person to be married, Kristin herself is the only one of the four actresses never to have had a wedding in real life.
