Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett is a Canadian actress, best known for appearing in movies like "Apartment Hunting, 'Men with Brooms,' and 'The Tree of Life.' Born in Spalding, Saskatchewan and raised in the area, she later moved to Alberta where she completed high school. During her teenage years, she developed an interest in acting. She attended Montreal's National Theatre School to continue her training in acting. In Moscow, she was also enrolled in the Moscow Theatre School. Her first appearance on television was in 1996 as a supporting actress on the Canadian show 'The Rez. In 1996, she played an actor in the series from Canada called 'The Rez.' In the latter part of the 90s, she made her film debut in the film called Papertrail. Later she appeared in movies like 'Men with Brooms’ and 'Cypher. She also played supporting roles on shows such as 'A Nero Wolfe Mystery,' and Blue Murder. The actress was also in film through the early 2000s, however her appearances on film were not as prominent as her TV roles. In 1998 she played the lead role in the show 'Colleen Blessed' on the Canadian drama series  Power Play. The series received praise from critics and the public and ran for 2 seasons and 26 episodes. For her role in the series, she was nominated as a Gemini Award nominee. Jude Lyon Matchett was born to her in June 2013. But she didn't reveal the identity of her son's dad. According to some reports,, her ex-boyfriend is the father. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke and T.W. Peacocke. They started dating in the mid-1990s. The couple got married in 1998. The wedding was a disaster and the couple split from each other in 2006.
