Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter was born on July 23rd in 1970. Cordelia Chase played the role of Cordelia in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural series (1997-1999) as well as its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She was also a star in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablanca's (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell (2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012) Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada), the daughter of Christine Carpenter and who worked in a bird sanctuary, as well as Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. Carpenter is of Spanish (from the maternal grandfather), French and German descent. Carpenter attended the Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. Carpenter was also part of a troupe that performed in song and dance which was a part of Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter's family relocated to Rosario Beach (Baja California, Mexico) when Carpenter was just 15 years old. She attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Following graduation, Carpenter traveled throughout Europe. Carpenter returned to San Diego in 1991 and worked as an aerobics teacher and videostore clerk as well as a property manager. In 1991, she was employed as an cheerleader for San Diego Chargers football team. The team moved to Los Angeles in 1992. In 1991, Henry Hubbard Jr. confronted her along with two of her male colleagues while swimming in San Diego. He was an ex- San Diego cop and serial rapist who tried to subdue them using a gun. During the struggle that ensued, her companions and Hubbard were shot, causing Hubbard to flee the scene; both friends were able to escape the assault. Hubbard was detained and convicted, and sentenced to 56 years in prison, for several assaults. Carpenter had brought Hubbard his police-issue flashlight to the beach. He had left it in the area. The flashlight turned out to be an important evidence piece against Hubbard.
