Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zurer, one of Israel's most
beloved actresses, is an extremely special person. She was born in Tel Aviv and
was first noticed by Hollywood when Steven Spielberg cast her in her first
English-speaking role as Eric Bana's wife in Munich (2005). Since arriving in
the United States, Zurer has appeared in Studio films including Sony Pictures'
Vantage Point with Dennis Quaid and William Hurt, Samuel Goldwyn's Fugitive
Pieces with Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader's Adam Resurrected with Jeff
Goldblum and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons opposite Tom Hanks.
Darling Companion is an ensemble of Lawrence Kasdan that includes Diane Keaton
and Kevin Kline. Warner Bros. Man Of Steel along with Russell Crow. Ewan
McGregor was the director of Rodrigo Garcia, Last Days in the Desert. She also
eagerly awaited the release of The Last Knights, a film written by Kazuaki
Kiriya. She is starring alongside Clive Owen. She recently won the Gold Nymph
Award for Outstanding actor in the Drama Series at the 54th festival of
television of Monte-Carlo in recognition of her role in the TV show
"Hostages". Ayelet won the Israeli Film And Television Academy Award
for her performance as the lead in Nina's Tragedies. Ayelet was also nominated
in the category of her performance in film Only Dogs Run Free and The Dybuk
from Holy Apple Field, Desperado and Rutenberg. She was awarded the Haifa
International Film Festival critic award and was given the Haifa's "film
boulevard," for her achievements in the local and international arenas.
Zurer was awarded the Israeli Television Academy Award for her role in "In
Treatment" that is an internationally acclaimed TV series, which has been
adapted to American TV by HBO. In 2014, she was nominated for an apposite
performance in the best drama of 2014 "Shtisel" which she won the
title of best actress in a show for her portrayal of an amazing surgeon who is
faced with the dilemma of life and death in Hostages and was later sold to BBC4
and Canal Plus, and as an original format for the American ABC. She is the
"face " of one of Israel's leading women's clothing companies-
Golbary. Ayelet is a producer as well as a writer. Ayelet has developed a few
of her projects in Israel and the US and expressed an interest in working
internationally alongside directors from around the world, including unknown
writers/directors.
