Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
from the US. She previously worked as a television correspondent for ABC News.
Her most well-known work is her time as co-anchor of Good Morning America
Weekend from 2015 to 2018, and being co-host of The View from 2015 to in 2018.
The show was co-hosted by her prior co-anchors America This Morning as well as
World News Now. After graduating, she worked in several communications-related
jobs including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio.
Due to the lack of opportunities on television, she held an opportunity as a
radio sales representative. Her next job was a year as a production assistant
at WKEF/WRGT . She then occasionally anchor or report. She was the weekend and
weekday sports anchors at WCPO TV, Cincinnati, between 2002 and 2005. She was
hired as a sports journalist at the NBC's Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV from
November 2005 through December 2011 after her contract expired. She was
employed by ABC News the news division in December of 2011. She joined ABC News
on World News Now and America This Morning on January 2, 2012. She was also on
Good Morning America's fill-in programme, Good Morning America, on January 2,
2012. She was later promoted to New York-based correspondent for all ABC News
programs. Her final episode of World News Now and America This Morning was on
January 22 in 2013. Her debut was on Good Morning America Weekend as co-anchor
on August 9, 2014. This was after Bianna Golodryga changed her channel to
Yahoo! News. News. On August 3, 2016 it was announced they had renewed her
contract for its twentieth season. Season 21 was also renewed with co-hosting
duties. She was most often seen on episodes on Fridays in the 21st and 22nd
seasons.
