Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was known as a TV host, ex-chef of the Institute of Culinary Education and formerly teaches cooking. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark sparkling blonde locks, and her bubbly to the max, shares the simplest techniques that anyone could learn. Chef Burrell had a job at the top New York restaurants and studied Italian cuisine and surroundings. Also, she was a contestant in Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in the Upstate region of New York Chef Burrell was fascinated by food. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her following graduation with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication at Canisius College Buffalo NY. I loved every minute of being a student at The Culinary Institute of America she says. I couldn't learn or be a better cook than I did. Chef Burrell was a graduate of The Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy worked for one year in Umbria in Umbria at La Taverna del Lupo and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred restaurant. It was during this time that her experience in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian tradition and philosophy, and has made an impression on her culinary perspective. Burrell has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten the lives of kids who face challenges. She is also an Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation celebrity ambassador, where she advocates for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. as a speaker, guest and coach, she travels throughout the U.S. to share the joy of cooking as well as her professional career. Anne stated that she felt privileged in that she could share her true passion with others.
