Genesis Rodriguez was conceived in Miami, Florida. She is the daughter Jose Luis El Puma' Rodriguez (the famous Venezuelan actor and singer) and Carolina Perez (a Cuban-model). There are two half-sisters to her. She attended the Carrolton School of the Sacred Heart, Miami. From childhood, Rodriguez knew she wanted to act and attended summer classes at the famed Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute as well as beginning other acting classes.
